Hi,
I tried soultion 2 – Single Weblogic Domain, but in my app B (running in separate managed server within same domain) I am getting null for request.getUserPrincipal().
I used DefaultAuthenticator provided by Weblogic for my test, but so far as I understand it is utilizing UsernamePasswordLogin module.
Would you be able to provide some more details?

Hi peja,

Our project is using solution two as well. The setup we have is one domain with multiple clusters consisting of two managed server each.

On WLP server, the subject is being retrieved by the client's jsessionid cookie. It is stored within the first few characters of this cookie. Please make sure that AppA and AppB are of the same host.

If I get a chance, I'll post some small demonstrations of solution 2 this week.

Regards,
Jack

I've tried it with WebLogic Portal, but it should also work for WebLogic Server as long as the dynamic web projects are deployed within the same EAR project.
